Rudd started the mess, Gillard only made it bigger! Rudd did some seemingly palatable things to Australian voters, until he was dropped from the "flavour of the month" list. Gillard is getting from bad to worse, behaving like a spoilt brat and wanting to interfere with the separation of powers between the Executive and Judiciary.

Kyoto Protocol is a formality that will become empty promises. Many European countries' carbon emission has been reduced NOT because of their conscious effort to do so, but their manufacturing industries have gone south (or to China precisely). This leads to drastic reduction of power consumption and in the meantime less output of carbon dioxide.

An apology to Indigenous Australian will not make their livelihood improved. Once precedence is set, in decades to come, future Government will have to apologise to "stolen" children of illegal asylum seekers whose parents were sent back to refugee camps, say in Malaysia.

WorkChoices was the key issue that brought down the previous Liberal Government. History will tell whether the people of Australia had made the right choice, by electing Rudd for dismantling it. There are already signs that wage breakout and strikes returning to Australia sooner than expected.

The Iraqi War was a war that should not have taken place at all. The real evils of axes were the two George Bushes and their Administration under their command. The Americans did not want their sons and daughters to fight in the unjust war, and why should Australia follow? The WMD turned out to be Worldwide Mass Deception. On one hand, Rudd recalled the combat personnel from Iraq, and on the other hand he sent troops to Afghanistan.

The stimulus package meant to prevent Australia falling into the cracks of GFC benefited overseas manufacturers of flat screen televisions and outbound overseas tourism. The effective impact was minimal and lasted for about two months. Without the package, Australia would not have sunken; it would be better off to use the money for future rainy days or tempests.

Let's look at this hypothetical situation. The country-you-know-where puts on a boat some so called illegal asylum seekers who are in fact paid dummies to have a free boat ride (holiday) to Australia. Upon arrival, they get a dream-come-true free plane ride back to the country-you-know-where, courtesy of Australia taxpayers. What does Julia Gillard do to reward the ingenious crooks who thought of the scheme? With Australian taxpayers' money of course! The process is repeated until Australia has reached a quota of accepting 4000 bona fide refugees. What's next? The genuine illegal asylum seekers will be on the way to Australia.

South Australia Government pays to train Vietnamese nurses to fix local shortfall 2

Unfortunately too much emphasis is placed on paper qualification and paper shuffling. It's nice to sit in front of a computer, fill in forms, prepare reports or talk about strategies; the crux of the matter is patients lie in beds and need attention; they do not hang around the office areas.

It is true that many agency staff are not familiar with particular hospital environment, including certain crucial equipment, and lack spoken language skill.

Facts and figures, and who has done what are of no interest to the patients. Real throughput can only be achieved by real patient care, not the bright red colour at the bottom line.

Many refugees in detention centres are educated and can be trained in various qualifications. What a waste to "imprison" these people and let them rot in those hell holes!

$296 million Australian Dollars is about 1 billion Malaysian Ringgits. Aren't we Australians generous? Only brainless idiotic Primary School Minister can think of such exchange.

Just imagine the scenario: provide 800 Malaysian holiday makers / legal boat people each with a cruise ticket to sail near Australia, put them on a few boats and pretend to be queue jumpers; intentionally allows the Australian government to treat them as illegal refugees, and then send them back by air to Malaysia on Australia expense.

Upon return to Malaysia, the Malaysian government will receive a golden handshake for a job well done. The so-called queue jumpers, for their effort helping the Malaysian government to make the profit, are placed at the front of the queue plus bonus. They probably have the greatest holiday in their lives - travel by sea in cruise ship, by boat in Australian water, then by plane back to Malaysia. Finally they become legal immigrants, welcome to take up citizenship in Australia, and receive social welfare and other benefits from the people you know very well - Us!

Stop whinging; vote me as you next Prime Minister. I can do a better job than this good for nothing.

I'm not a Bowen sympathiser, nor Labor supporter. It is better late than never. Sometimes we all wish to have a free hand to do everything, but this not the case in the real world. Just hope that the amendments to the laws will do what we are hoping for - tough enough to deter, punish the violators, yet satisfy our role as good Samaritans to help the genuine help seekers.
