Kevin Rudd was never dumped. It was just an act to rescue Labor from total nullation in the previous Federal Election. A change of leadership was the only way to beg the people of Australia for mercy to give this incompetent party another chance. With further intentional deterioration in performance will give Kevin Rudd an excuse to return to his rightful place - showing that he was not that bad after all.

Just think about this, why did Kevin Rudd just so happen had to admit to hospital at the peak of election campaign? It was just to avoid answering questions from the media. Former mates Wayne Swan and Julia Gillard did not visit Kevin Rudd at the hospital, nor a phone call to check on his condition was just unthinkable; in short, they are not fit to be called Australians if this was done intentionally.

Why in the world Julia Gillard has to Kowtau to Kevin Rudd and keep Foreign Ministry just for an political "enemy", and provided such a big budget for him to travel around the world.

The whole thing was a conspiracy.

The myth of the buyers market

http://smh.domain.com.au/real-estate-news/blogs/domain-investor-centre-blog/the-myth-of-the-buyers-market-20110607-1fqpa.html

Real estate market in general is cyclical, and by my calculations, the real estate market will continue to slide until reaching the bottom in April 2013.

If there is a shot-in-the-arm in median price, it is largely due to higher price range property owners can no longer hang on to their properties and have to let go of them. That is a sign of further market deterioration.

RBA which increases interest rate is no longer the culprit causing mortgage stress. The real culprits are the banks or correctly speaking the lending institutions. They are all alike, and they increase the rates higher than what the RBA has determined. The banks are no longer playing by the rule.

Many new entrants to property investment are naive and ignorant, and rather lazy to learn the basic mathematics. They are also driven by greed and expect high return in short space of time.

Many buyers think that they are good negotiators, smarter than many real estate agents. Just think about this, the number of properties sold by an average real estate agent is lot more than most people's property transactions in many life times.

For the next year or so, the return on capital will decrease, and the rental income will be well below interest rate. For those who wish to benefit from negative gearing, now their wish has come true - a lot worse than expected.

Given the present situations, with the Labor Government making one mistake after another, plus the recent banning of live cow export to Indonesia, the coming quarter will definitely hit another negative GDP growth, resulting in the recession Australia can never get out of - compliments of Julia Gillard and her incompetent team!

Voters want election on carbon tax - Part 2

The carbon (dioxide) emission per capita of Australia is and will always be much greater than China and India because of our small pollution. To explain this, let us look at a household of 1 and another of 5. Both need only a refrigerator to keep food fresh or a washing machine to wash clothing. The household of 5 uses the same amount of electricity for the appliances and therefore "polluting" the planet with the same amount of greenhouse gas. Now, a hall with 1 occupant or 100 occupants requires the same number of lights to be turned on for a performance; and an electrified train carrying 1 passenger or 500 passengers consumes about the same amount electricity to commute between Melbourne and Sydney.

There are times when no consumers are involved and yet the waste has to be shared by the population. A lot of power is lost in transmitting electricity from the power stations to hundreds of kilometres of nothingness before populated towns or cities. A lot of energy is required to get rid of the sewer travelling great length of pipes to filtration plant. When we talk about power and energy, we really mean electricity which operates the equipment to make these things happen.

These examples explain the concept of economy of scale and illustrate the principle of fixed and variable costs. So long if we continue to live in a cocoon and not to increase our population, Australia will always be more expensive to live in and the greenhouse gas emission will be a lot higher than more populated countries. Population of USA is about 13.7 times of Australia's, and China is 59 times of Australia's.

I hope those people argue about our excessive greenhouse emission per capita will have a better understanding and hopefully conduct more meaning debate in the future.

With or without carbon tax, just give us an election to get rid of the incompetent government. John Hewson, Bob Hawke and other "yesterday heroes" should back off the carbon tax debate.

Many economic rationalists and politicians are no more than armchair generals, and are out of touch with the hands-to-mouth real world.

Even if carbon tax does not affect significantly employment in the mining sector, the flow on effect IS damaging to other industries. An increase in cost in the mining sector will pass on to downstream and related industries, and the chain reaction is similar to an atomic explosion. Worse still, it turns into a feedback loop, increasing wages and other production costs in the industry which started the reaction.

The recent floods in various parts of Australia cost me more than 15% jump in my last month's house insurance premium renewal, making me an indirect victim of the floods. Similar situation will happen to innocent victims if the damaging carbon tax is introduced.

Alcohol kills and affects more people money-wise and health-wise – physically, emotionally and psychologically. The hospital emergency and rehabilitation departments are clogged up with drink-driving and alcohol related patients. Welfare organisations have to help many to cope and deal with alcohol related abuses.

Why are there no health or risk warning messages with ghastly pictures on drink packaging? Should alcohol be sold behind counter like cigarettes? Should alcohol be banned or outlawed like cigarettes?

Unfortunately too much emphasis is placed on paper qualification and paper shuffling. It's nice to sit in front of a computer, fill in forms, prepare reports or talk about strategies; the crux of the matter is patients lie in beds and need attention; they do not hang around the office areas.

It is true that many agency staff are not familiar with particular hospital environment, including certain crucial equipment, and lack spoken language skill.

Facts and figures, and who has done what are of no interest to the patients. Real throughput can only be achieved by real patient care, not the bright red colour at the bottom line.

If the sea water is getting more saline, then melting ice will dilute it, marine lives will not be facing extinction.

If the land is getting arid, the rising water will irrigate it, deserts will become productive land.

If the underground water table is sinking, the excess water flowing inland will fill it, many high rise buildings will not face destruction.

Everything happens for a reason, and that's the beauty of nature! Climate change gives us hope and new lease of life!

Death is no laughing matter, and this is not a hoax.

Many people are careful about healthy living yet they forget about hygiene. They do not wash the vegetables and fruits before consuming them, or wash their hands after going to toilet. They walk bare-foot or wear the same shoes that have walked on dirty streets in the house, bringing all the filth from the outside to the living area. Parents allow babies to crawl on floors and carpet full of germs. It used to be homeless and lower socio-economic people that sit on footpaths or grass in public area, but now no one gives any thought about the "shit" they are sitting on. What about dirty pets in the house/beds?

People pay for organic produces that can be dirtier and more bacteria-borne than non-organic ones. No one questions about the water source of bottled water, whether it has been contaminated by someone having a bath or doing business upstream. Idiotically many people choose to put bacteria in their stomaches for good health.

Correct me if I am wrong:

GDP = private consumption + gross investment + government spending + (exports - imports)

One of the parameters is private consumption which includes utilities. By discounting the great jump in utility prices through no increase in actual "quantity consumption", how can any economist justifiably comment that there was a GDP increase if of all the natural disasters factors are removed.

One must be very careful in examining all the underpinning components, and not to treat everything as a basket case. For a long time I argue that many economic models are incorrect, in the sense that dollar values are used instead of unit prices. Unit price takes care of and normalises quantity consumption.

Growth in consumption is paramount! Great real!

Church is a place of worship, and religion is what people believe in and how they understand and practise it. Church and religion are not humans, and they can do no wrong. People who practice a religion with the wrong mindset are not examples of good believers. Single out the individuals not the religion or the Church!

People with principles, conscience and integrity should never, ever vote on party line and lie through their teeth if the party’s policy is totally different from what they believe in. Australia is definitely heading towards a recession.

The truth lies in the trilogy of negative demand - real properties, cars and household items. In recent months, the supply of properties in the market has increased, but there are many people who cannot afford to buy. They have neither the earning capacity to convince the bank to lend them money, nor the ability to repay after the initial down payment. Renovation market has also slowed down. Car is the largest personal asset item.

Car sales have also slumped, and compounding the problem is the increasing petrol prices which turn away potential buyers from buying bigger cars or 4-wheel drives.

David Jones, Myers and JB HiFi are reporting slow sales for the past few months. This is the third and critical negative demand that puts the nail in the economy coffin. Glenn Stevens and his RBA team are just not good enough to come up with inaccurate forecasts month after month. Sitting in the boardroom, looking at graphs on computer and talking with big businesses and then come up with the economic rationale to increase interest rate is unacceptable.

Not all Australians are miners, and not all 95% employed are full-time workers!
