The sign is DEFINITELY misleading and deceptive, because it actually says in the heading, "The accurate way to vote", follows by the rest of the content that, "on the green voting form, mark 1 next to the Liberal candidate, then mark in the squares with number from a small to large sequence".

The point that is challengeable is - "The accurate way to vote ... mark 1 next to the Liberal candidate". I strongly disagree that the content was correct in context when read by a Chinese who could understand the written language.

In addition, the Liberal logo was missing, and therefore further misled Chinese voters that was an official How to Vote instruction.

The matter should be submitted to some Chinese academia for proper translation to prove that the incorrect content did have an impact on the Chinese community when casting their votes!

Liberal will win the next election, but Labor will put up a good contest under Kevin Rudd. The damage caused by former Prime Minister Julia Gillard will take time to heal.

For Australia's sake, Labor must not win the election, or else Australia will enter an era of financial crisis. Not unlike Julia Gillard, both spent money like no tomorrow.

Kevin Rudd is the 26th and 28th Prime Minister. In his previous PM life, he demonstrated that he was a workaholic which earned him the title Kevin 24/7 with a management style dreaded by his staff. In fact, the PM office had extremely high staff turnover.

Kevin Rudd is a good communicator, but then talk is cheap. He has many Twitter followers, and speaks Mandarin very fluently. His smiling baby face is likeable especially adored by seniors, but this is a facade of "hiding a knife behind the smiling face" (36 Stratagems).

Gonski funding model for schools seems like a fair system, but it will not fix the real problems. Billions of dollars will be misused by schools and principals, not dissimilar to some of the Labor government funded projects. The core problem must be tackled, and the education system must undergo a complete revamping from early childhood learning to tertiary education.

It is interesting to note that Penny Wong, former Finance Minister under the Gillard's government, has switched camp and landed in the position as the Leader of Senate. Penny Wong's survival is a very smart and strategic move by Kevin Rudd. Penny Wong is an Asian-born (Sabahian), lesbian female. She is the best tool for killing three birds (race, gay, gender) with one penny.

The ways Labor spent money on all past projects can only be compared with people with pea brains. Two wrongs don't make one right!

Carbon capture storage (CCS) was doomed and carbon tax will cause many Australian businesses to doom. Two doomed carbon schemes don't make one oxygen breather for Australian business.

Don't let this pain and suffering to continue further after the next election. Julia Gillard got rid of Kevin Rudd, voters will get rid of Julia Gillard. Two hopeless leaders don't make one great Australia!

As for the Coalition, two negative knockings don't make one positive policy.

May I ask the Coalition why two parties in coalition cannot beat one?

The strategy Liberal Party needs to adopt now is to "Conquer and Divide". Each Labor MP can serve only one master, either Julia Gillard or Kevin Rudd, and therefore, for each supporting group, the number of MPs is less than the total number of Liberal MPs working as a team.

If any Liberal MP is stupid enough to start infighting now, they should be sent to Christmas Island and never to be released! Liberal's infighting will cost the party missing the boat to win the next election, presumably an early one.

For the Liberal's leader, too much negativity can lead to voters' revolt. Prove to me why I should vote for the Party if I perceive the Party is nothing more than just a bunch of sour grapes, and cannot think of anything positive to say, such as how the Party can bring employment and prosperity back.

Unemployment and trade deficits are not just numbers. They represent jobs that bring home the bacon. They are the roots of many family breakup, depression, and other human sufferings.

If Julia Gillard can't convince the majority of Australians the idea of carbon tax for the last few weeks on television, radio, print media, YouTube, etc., probably worth more than $25 million of virtual promotion without costing the public a cent, how can $25 million of real money change the public opinion? This is another example of Labor / Gillard's Government of mismanaging taxpayers' money. $25 million can be used to feed many hungry stomaches and fund another public housing project! The world economy is getting from bad to worse, and Australia good time cannot last indefinitely. It does not need Nostradamus to tell us that weakness in property market, car sales, retail business, and low consumer confidence are not sure signs of economic collapse. The way Labor / Gillard's Government pouring money down the drain is despicable; Gillard and her team MUST go; if the Liberal is not going to do anything more positive to bring about the political scenario change, Australians MUST rise to get rid of this incompetent government before the death of this lucky country!

This is a political suicide for Malcolm Turnbull for the so-called telling the truth. The truth is in the Australia political system, if the major Party cannot win an election, that Party will not be able to form the Government on its own, or like the Labor, will have to suck up to the Greens in order to get things done.

Voters are looking for and looking up to a strong united and cohesive party, whether as the government or opposition. Turnbull's arrogance will backfire and may cause Liberal's chance to win the next election. Tony Abbott is riding high at the moment, especially on carbon tax issue. If Malcolm Turnbull can keep his trap shut for the time being, despite his different stance, Liberal can win government rather comfortably the next round, probably in sooner than 2 years according to my prediction.

If he continues to behave like a spoilt brat, Tony Abbott will have no choice but to dump him from the Shadow Ministry in the name of party sustainability.

Labor carbon policies are impractical and will turn Australia into one of the most expensive and unaffordable country to live in. It is pointless to have the cleanest planet if no one can enjoy it, or afford to enjoy it!

Desalination plant and Myki ticketing system are two well known debacles. Don't think that's the end.

Liberal Government definitely made the wrong decision in ditching the Target 155 campaign, with so much fanfare and publicity. In business and in life, we set targets and goals not that we will achieve them definitely, but they are something to aim for, to better ourselves in many aspects of performance.

Whether or not it was introduced by the former Labor government or anyone, Target 155 "was" a fantastic idea. Saving water should not be viewed as a policy; it should be a way of life. The best part of Target 155 was that no additional tax was imposed on people using water above the target - in fact, Target 155 was a psychological barrier. As a result, the public made conscious and unconscious decisions to conserve this valuable "resource".

By axing the campaign, or more correctly removing this magical target, many will revert back to bad habit using more water, causing increase in household spending, which can either increase household debt, or cannibalise spending on other services. In the worst case, both evils can take place

Target 155 should be synonymous to Keep Australia Beautiful, Cleanup Australia, Planet Ark, Greening Australia, Earth Hour, etc. The program should be expanded instead of being axed.

It is a lot of rubbish and contradiction. If Doyle attended the function as a private citizen because he accepted "a personal invitation from a friend", then there is room for a pardon. But a Scientology media release said Cr Doyle attended in his role as Lord Mayor, then the situation is entirely different. Doyle, the former Liberal leader, once promised to release a policy a day, is someone I can't trust with a six-foot pole!
